Alan J. Abrahamson, of Palm Beach Gardens, son of the late Miriam and David Abrahamson, passed away on January 25th, 2018 at the age of 71. Alan was a West Hartford, Connecticut native. Growing up, he attended Kingswood School, and he was a graduate of Syracuse University, where he received his M.B.A. Alan was the former owner of CNS, a building supply company in Windsor, Connecticut. He was a former member of the Tumble Brook Country Club in Bloomfield, Connecticut and BallenIsles Country Club in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Alan was an avid golfer, enjoyed traveling and had a zest for life. He was known for his extraordinary smile, contagious laugh and the twinkle in his eyes. Alan is survived by his wife, Linda Gampel Abrahamson, and his two sisters, Ann Rosenthal, and Leslie and Harold Blumberg. He is also survived by his beloved stepchildren, Stephanie and Dany Berghoff, Dana and Jared Beckerman, and Ben and Courtney Kornblum. Additionally, Alan leaves behind the Berghoff's children, Hannah and Stella, and the Beckerman's children, Emma and Hailey. Alan is also survived by his daughter, Rachel, her two children, and his son Daniel. Alan touched the lives of everyone he encountered. He will be deeply missed by his entire extended family, all of their loving friends at BallenIsles, and his friends throughout the country. He woke up each morning with a smile on his face and was adored by all. Alan's greatest time was spent with Linda and her children and grandchildren. Wherever Alan was, he made it a "happy hour." A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 30th, at 9:30 a.m. at I.J. Morris at Star of David, located at 9321 Memorial Park Road in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
