Grandad,
I miss you loads more than ever now I'm working and got my own car, it keeps breaking down and I always remember when my Dad's car broke down he always said that Grandad Alan would come and fix it for him, my Dad is rubbish with cars not like you, so I wish you were still here so I could ring you. We had some fantastic times with you and Grandma and will miss you so much. Look after yourself up there and we'll be with you again one day. Love and kisses.

Hello Dad, cant believe how hard this is. Its not easy saying a final goodbye, you no its not easy for me to put things in writing most things I keep in my head. I have some really good memories of you especially the caravan and camping days (glad we moved on from the old ambulance) Never thought that I would end up working for you but I suppose that was inevitable after all the late nights that we spent fixing your trucks when I was a kid. I remember the times that we used to go to Blackpool, I think it was in the Tower and when we came out you would be singing Delilha by Tom Jones and you would get our dog(Laddie) howling with you, always think of you when I here that song. I now know why you didnt want to retire is it because mum had a big list of jobs? we are now ticking off the jobs as we do them, I think we will be a retiring age by the time we have done them all, I still go in your shed and its just as you left it, its as if you have just nipped out, we know that you are watching over us so we make sure that we put eveything back in its place, Mums doing really good, she goes dancing a few times aweek and shes lost a bit of weight with the dancing and taking sam for his walks,we are all going out for a meal on Sunday for mums birthday I know you will be there in spirit looking down on us. Well Christmas is here,not looking forward to it this year as it is my first christmas without you. When I think of christmas last year little did I know it was going to be our last christmas together I now know how poorly you were when we were at Blackpool with the caravan. I have many good memories of the times we had.

Well its Christmas Eve, our first Christmas without you, Mum was only saying yesterday that this time last year you were off in your caravan with Derek and Cath to Blackpool, only wish you were doing that this year then at least I could shake you hand and you would squeeze my hand so tight it would hurt. You are so badly missed all the time the world is so empty without you, I hope you've settled down up there and have got everyone organised. Mum's okay, she's getting out more, enjoying her dancing and absolutely loves taking Sam for a walk in all weather's and she's always talking about you infact lots of people still talk loads about you, your'll never ever be forgotten, oh and Sam's got a new mate called Smudge they love going for walks together.

Hi Dad, well it should have been yours and mums 46th Anniversary but we'll celebrate it in our hearts and it will still remain a special time, mum's doing well and she visits you as much as she can, we're looking after each other and even Sam chips in easpecially early in the morning making sure Mum gets up bright and early to make sure she doesn't lay around around in bed. Everyone misses you I suppose its not hit me quite as hard as Tony and Gary, because I still believe your always there, especially when I have problems with my car although I have to ask Tony now what to do if things go wrong with it. Uncle Alan, you were the funniest uncle I ever had. I will never forget the Silver Jubilee on your boat on the canal and making the thousands of flowers ready for it!! I will never forget the New Years Eve parties (after the Concorde!) back at your house and our visits and stays with you and Aunty Lynne in Blackpool. We wanted to write to express our sorrow at the sad news at the death of Alan Allcock. Alan was such a special person that no words are really adequate. He brought pleasure to everyone that knew him and he will be sadly missed.
