Alan and I were in the same home room in 1st grade. We were so excited when we found out we had the same birthday. Alan and I were then great friends throughout our school years in Summerville. We learned to rappel an spelunk together along with Will Hair. And of course we were all jealous of Alan´s classic international truck! We both then attended college followed by military careers. Though we rarely saw each other as adults, I consider Alan a lifelong friend and one of the best pure-of-heart people I´ve ever met. I enjoyed following him on Facebook as he went on one adventure after another. Rest in Peace, my friend.

I was honored and privileged to fly 2 A220 Trips with Alan, both of which were in March of 2022. The second, had us on a layover in San Francisco, where Alan pulled me along to introduce me to the Marines Memorial Club & Hotel where we went for a bite, and a thin one. I extremely saddened to hear of Alan's passing, and will keep you all in my prayers. I usually kept a few notes on Captains I flew with to help me remember them, assuming I'd fly with them again... "Great Dude", "Quiet", "Marine"!. ... nickel on the grass.

Alan and i were in the same homeroom, he sat behind me, during our years at CHS, he always had a quite smile, I remember him being so kind to everyone he met, I saw him at one of the class reunions and he began to smile, he said you are AD(Adams), I said you are (AR) Archer , such a great guy.

I am truly sorry for your loss. Alan and I were Marines together. We were in the same TBS class and roommates during flight training in Pensacola. We met up again at Delta. Alan was such a great person. I always seeing his friendly smile when our paths would cross during the years. He will be missed greatly.
