Dear Dad, we had a great time at Miller's Ale House giving you the 80th birthday party that you had to cancel in December. It seemed an appropriate send-off to a man who truly loved life, his family and his friends. We'll miss you!

I miss you so much my dear friend! You were an amazing friend to me and many others! Your family are so awesome. I am so very glad to now have them in my life. We did a great tribute to you! You would have been so happy how everyone turned up for you! I am so glad you are in heaven and no longer in pain!!!! I love you so much!!!!! oxoxoxo Hang out with my mom Theresa, Michaelina and the lovely Marlene Koppenhaver, they all went to all your parties!!!!! God Bless, I am so thankful I got to spend time with you in the hospital before you left us and had the time to say how much I love you and say goodbye for now!!!!

RIP Big Al. Although we hadn't seen each other for several years, the fun we had for many years prior will always be special to me; especially the years when we competed together in Bisbee Black & Blue marlin tournament. I will toast you tonight by the Release Trophy you and I won in 1998.Please know my love and prayers go out to your entire family. "Fish On" Big Al.

Words simply can not describe your presence in life. However I will try. Big all brought joy to all those who new him. Forever you shall be loved. Cheers to you may the sun always shine on your smile.

Big Al, Vegas will never be the same without you nor will my life be as well. I really enjoyed knowing you over the last 10 years since our first meeting in the Foundation Room at one of Z's events. We hung a lot over the years whenever we crossed paths and we always had an eventful fun time. You will be missed and your memory will never fade away.

Big Al was a great father to his daughter, Kristie, and to his family, and a great person, any time from what I experienced. A really nice guy who loved people and life. RIP.

Kristi, we are so sad about your fathers passing, what an incredible life he lived and the space shuttle he was involved, what a great legacy he left to his other grandchildren and especially to our sweet Nick, so wonderful Nick will carry on the family name.
