Alan Chapa, 41, passed away Saturday, October 2, 2004 at his residence. He worked in the oilfield drilling rigs.Alan was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Guadalupe & Areopagita Garcia; paternal grandparents Lazaro and Nicolasa Chapa; uncles Santiago Garcia, Hector Chapa, Celso Gonzales, Leonel Chapa, Arnoldo Alaniz, Lazaro (Minerva) Chapa, Jr.; aunt Eleuteria "Lula" Garcia.He is survived by his parents Victor H. and Gilda G. Chapa of Hebbronville; brother Hugo R. Chapa of Alice; sister Erica M. Chapa of Houston; uncles and aunts Genaro (Anita) Garcia of Alice, Guadalupe (Bilma) Garcia, Jr. of Kingsville, Jose Alejo (Sylvia) Garcia of San Antonio, Jesus Maria Garcia of Houston, Joe (Lala) Lozano of Alice, Arcelia "Chela" Infante of California, Saul (Elva) Guerra of Alice, Celia Chapa of Benavides, Manuel (Berta) Chapa of Premont, Elva Gonzalez of Benavides, Amador (Olga) Caballero, Jr. of Benavides, Sylvia Chapa of Houston, Cleofas (Cala) Gonzalez of Benavides, Maria Elena Alaniz of Benavides, Teodoro (Juanita) Sosa of Benavides.Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2004 at Howard-Williams-Turcotte Chapel in Hebbronville.Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 6, 2004 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville.Burial will follow at the Calaveras Family Cemetery in Ben Bolt, Texas.Active Pallbearers will be Cleofas Gonzalez, Jr., Beto Garcia, Fidencio "FO" Chapa, Arnoldo Alaniz, Jr., Omar Gonzalez, Odell Gonzalez, Saul Guerra, Jr., Jimmy Garcia, Celso Gonzalez and Mario Garcia.Honorary Pallbearers Lorenzo Moncevais III, Victor O.
