I started 1986 working in Crittenden Research accounting department under Phil Scott. Then directly with Alan Crittenden to handle the accounting of Crittenden Golf Magazine that was launched in the 90's. I will always be grateful for the trust and encouragement he gave me. His influence shaped my path in ways words cannot fully express. Alan will be deeply missed, but his example will continue to live in the hearts of those he helped, taught and inspired.

I worked for Crittenden Publishing for nearly 25 years in the Novato office. We had many long term employees there. Al could be a tough boss but knew how to treat his employees fairly and graciously.

I am grateful to have met Al Crittenden, through his son Ted. It was a pleasure to be welcomed into his family these last few years, and enjoy many holiday gatherings where there was always a lot of great conversation and laughter. He was also so kind and good-humored. His legacy lives on in his wonderful family.
