A precious friend. A devoted husband to his dear wife Sallie and his family. A lover of root beer floats, chain saws and all of Montana. A gentle man, but a warrior for peace, justice and a juniper-free world. His memory will always be a blessing.

I am shocked and saddened by Alan's death. I have known him since law school. He was a wonderful person who I enjoyed and respected. I send my love and condolences to Sallie and their family. Karl Berolzheimer

Thoroughly enjoyed the time shared in Montana on the Farm and at the lovely cabin in the woods. Many great conversations and times shared with a few special meals thrown in too.

My heart goes out to you, Sallie. Alan was a brilliant , interesting man who gave you his strong, loving support. I know how difficult it will be without him. But it´s true that after the initial pain of loss, loving memories of Alan and your wonderful times together with him , and with your family , will lift your sadness and fill you with love and peace . What an amazing man you picked to live a most interesting life. I grieve for your loss, but rejoice in a life very well lived with loving family all around.
