I was told that this is a photo of Alan...I was given this by a door gunner or crew chief during operations in Vietnam...This would have been during my time over there...4/70-3/71...I've had this photo for 53 years now and always wondered if he made it home...I just posted on military pages recently...Here's the photo...I'm hoping it's him and you haven't seen it before...Again, sorry yo read of Alan's passing and Thank You for his service...You can contact me at [email protected]...

Al and I have known each other since September 1966 when we met at Officer Candidate School in the Army. He was a remarkable person who always maintained a bright outlook on the future. We were reacquainted in 2012 through our reunions and have stayed close since. He always had a cheerful story to tell and ended his conversations with me with his trademark "Bravo Zulu". From his US Navy days, this means "a job well-done. For Al, who was first and foremost a family man who adored his lovely wife, Jean, I send to him a "BRAVO ZULU"! He will be missed by many.
