Alan Martin PRICHARD

A kind and humble man and a teacher who was willing to lend his ear..May he rest in peace

I met Alan Pritchard in 1988 when i did my LLB Hons undergradiate course at the University of Nottingham.He was teaching the law of contract to 1st year law students including myself.He was a very kind and humble man.I always remember walking with him through the campus to the lecture hall.May he rest in peace.

A man of immense integrity and intellect. I will always remember Alan with enormous respect, fondness and warmth. He came to me in my time of need, his support was endless and sustaining. I have met few in my life who have been such stalwarts in support for the goodness in human nature and yet capable of inexorable sustenance for those wronged by injustice. His beautiful book of Sonnets is a glimpse of the soul of such a remarkable man. I was terribly saddened to learn of his death, and I'm certain it left an irreplaceable hole in the lives of those who knew him. He will always be a part of helping my understanding of how beautiful the human spirit can be.
