My name is Jessica & Alan was a good friend & neighbor of mine for the last few years. He lived in a 55+ community & he had many good friends & neighbors here that he cared for & that cared for him.
He was kind & loving & quietly helped many of these neighbors. He even offered to help evacuate those in need during the floods & after he moved out.
We talked of many things about life & although at times we may not have agreed, he listened & spoke thoughtfully. I felt he was a kindred spirit. His kind eyes & smile spoke volumes.
Alan-although the tree has been removed where you loved to feed the birds, Freddie Girl, my dog, & I often stop & sit at your table & feel your spirit & the memory of you is still there as we watch the birds & bunnies. You were an angel among us. Rest In Peace

Alan was always so generous and selfless in all the things he did from the day I met him until he left us. I am grateful to him for the time he spent with me while I was going though an emotional "break-up" and bankruptcy at the same time. I was overwhelmed and he always there to get my mind off of it or listen if I needed to vent.

He knew I was depressed on my birthday. I was alone and broke and he showed up, made me leave all my credit cards at home and took me out to play. He was there for me anytime I needed him. I always knew I could count on him if I needed help with something or someone to listen. We grew to be good friends in the last couple years.

I know a lot of people and I would not call that many of them "friend".
Alan, I will miss you My Friend. I already do.

My condolences to his family.
