Albert John Aubert Jr.

Albert John Aubert Jr. June 24, 1926-September 1, 2011 Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and Friend, left God's earth after a long illness. Albert is survived by his loving wife Irene who just celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on August 29th. Surviving relatives are Son's Steven of Redwood City, Jeffery of Las Vegas, NV., and daughter Karen Aubert-Roach of Healdsburg; His sister Elaine MacNeil of San Mateo; Daughters-in-law & Son-in-law Renene Aubert, Ester Aubert, Paul Roach; Grandchildren Steven Aubert Jr., Nicole Stokes, Sherine Aubert, Heather O'Sullivan, Meghan O'Sullivan, Joseph Aubert, Steven Henshaw of Pacifica; Great Grandchildren Alyssa and Morgan Aubert, Alison and Brandon Henshaw along with many nieces and nephews. Al was born on June 24, 1926 to the late Albert Aubert Sr. and Agnes Aubert of San Francisco. Some of his early accomplishments were being a member of the San Francisco Drum and Bugle Core, Native Sons of the Golden West, and Boy Scout. He graduated from Lick-Wilmerding High School in 1944. He enlisted in the Navy, serving our country in WWII. After leaving the Navy Al joined the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 6 of San Francisco and was a proud member for over 62 years. He was instrumental in the electrical work of many of San Francisco's landmarks including the Transamerica building. Al and Irene moved to Redwood City in 1951 and raised their three children. In 1994 Al and Irene moved to Santa Rosa in Oakmont Retirement Community to continue his passion of golf along with Irene. Al joined the S.I.R's and was elevated to Big Sir in 1998. Albert will be remembered for his love of his wife and family, loyalty to his friends, and leadership to all. A memorial service will be held on September 16th at 11:30 a.m. Star of the Valley Catholic Church in Oakmont. Donations in lieu flowers to Cancer Society or Heart Association.
