Dear Sandy,
Please know that our thoughts are with you during this time. We had so much fun together as neighbors and later David and I enjoyed your visits to Florida and our visits to NH. Al was a very special kind hearted person who is surely looking down from Heaven right now.

Sandy and Family: Al was truly an amazing person, as a bowler, gentleman, family man, friend, and coach of the game he loved so dearly, candlepin bowling. There are so many great stories and tales of trips taken during all those great tournaments we shared. My mentor/coach will truly be missed as he touched my life as he did for so many. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family during this very difficult time.

I bowled against Al about 35 years ago in various tournaments. He was a great bowler and a great competitor. Better yet, Al was a wonderful person. We got to know each other one year during the Chas. Milan invitational in Bangor. There I got to see the big Cloutier smile and the hearty laugh.
Al was all business on the lanes, (and that was one of the reasons he was so good). But when the last ball was rolled and the match over, it was all behind him and time to move on with life.
Al Cloutier was a real credit to the game of candlepins. We shall miss him.
God rest his soul.

Al continued to give back an immeasurable amount of love and support to all of his family and friends while he dealt with the life altering complications of ALS. This is just one of the many, many amazing qualities that made up the man we will always hold dear in our hearts. Al will be missed by so many!

Al will surely be missed. Bob and I are so glad we were able to spend the day with Al last September. We wish we lived closer to attend the services, but Sandy, you and Al and the kids will be in our prayers. Al was a special person, always a good friend and, we will never forget all the good times we've been priviledged to share: Late night swims on Penn. Ave, our trip to Florida, Saturday night card parties, your generosity in allowing us to stay with you while Adam was finishing up high school, North Conway---just visiting was always fun to be with both of you. We mostly appreciate the bond Adam felt with Al. Al (Arch)was always patient and a good buddy to Adam. Bob felt the same way too--he always said if he could only have one friend, without hesitation, he'd pick Al! We will miss him, but will always have a special place for him in our hearts.
