Dr. Albert Harold Joslin, 80, of 2429 Spencer Drive, died, Monday, September 3, 2007 at his residence. Dr. Joslin was born in Murray, KY, graduated from Owensboro High School, served in the Army Air Corps during WWII in Okinawa and the Philippines and then graduated from Georgetown College in 1950 and from the University Of Louisville Medical School in 1954. He interned in Cincinnati at the St. Elizabeth Hospital from 1954 until 1955, practiced in Beaver Dam for four years, then served his Urology residency at the University Of Louisville Hospital, and had practiced urology in Owensboro since 1963. He earned a Fellowship from the American College of Surgeons, and was a member of the American Medical Association, the Daviess County Medical Association, the Kentucky Medical Association, the Kentucky Surgical Association, and the American Urological Association. Dr. Joslin was preceded in death by his parents, Asa and Louella Gill Joslin, three brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Sue Burton Joslin; his daughters, Donna Joslin Koller and her husband Dr. Michael Koller of Lewisburg, KY and Michelle Joslin Gistren and her husband A. Henrik Gistren of Hong Kong, China; grandchildren: Alexander A. Koller, US Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD, Nicole J. Koller of Lewisburg, KY, Samantha T. Gistren and Jasmine S. Gistren both of Hong Kong, China; a sister, Vevoleen McDaniel of Owensboro; niece, Patricia Ponsford and her husband Darrel of Summerfield, Fl and their son Owen Ponsford of Seattle, WA; niece Doris Slavon and her husband Robert of Owensboro and their daughter Jennifer Mosley of Bowling Green; nephew, Larry McDaniel and his wife Sherri of Owensboro and their children, Ryan McDaniel and his wife Ashley of Owensboro and Clay McDaniel of Nashville, TN; also surviving is a nephew, Michael Joslin and his wife Rebecca of Cumming, GA.
Services will be held Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at Century Christian Church.
Glenn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Help Office, Hospice or the Salvation Army.
