Condolences to the family. Senior year at Clark being sharing a suite has always been a great memory except for chicken pox.

Dear Diane, Alex and Matthew - There are no words to express the sadness we experienced, to hear the passing of Al. Al was a beautiful soul. A man of integrity and honor. I had fond memories of him at the all the family gatherings. I enjoyed our conversations together. Last year, we're glad that he'd finally got to meet our son, Liam.
With broken hearts, we'd like to express our sincere condolences to you and the boys.
With love, we'd like to see him soar through the cosmos and beyond.
Al, you'll be dearly missed.

Dear Diane and Family:
I did not know Al, but his obituary really described who he was and it touched me. I may not know about losing a spouse, but I do know about losing a parent at a young age. For your boys, your father will ALWAYS be a part of you. He will never be that far away. When you think of him or when you catch yourself saying something he used to say or when you do something exactly like he did or watching a tv show or listening to music he liked, just know he is with you then, and smiling, as in the photo above, at your remembrance of him.
Diane, I can't imagine this loss! It's devastating for all and my sincere condolences to all. You have many cherished memories of Al and this will carry you through. Eventually, that ache in your heart will diminish.
Don't be afraid "to ask" if you need something. This is the one thing that grief does - you don't want to "impose". But your loved ones, family, friends and others want to help you. Reach out and we will be there.

I wish to offer my deepest condolences to Diane and her children. I worked with Diane at DEEP back in the 90's and I only met Al a few times while building a deck for Diane and him several years ago.

I did not know Al personally but his obituary touched my heart. I lost my husband just about a year ago to pancreatic cancer, and the words about your husband about strength and grace reminded me of him as well. I’m so sorry to learn of his loss and my heart goes out to you all, my husband also chose Saint Jude as a place to donate and it seems like they were much alike. I have learned much this last year about the afterlife and I am sure that Al and my husband will be getting in touch with each other and protecting us all.

Diane, Alex and Matt - My sincere condolences for your loss. Losing a part of your family, a husband and father, is always devastating, especially at such a young age. I never met him but can tell from the obituary alone that he was a special person. May the happy memories of your time together soon replace the tears with smiles.
