I am so sorry to hear of the passing of cousin Dick. We had just seen each other at my brother Mark's funeral in June. He was his usual joking and entertaining self. I am so glad we had an opportunity to reconnect, however briefly. I know he will be missed.

I went through school with Dick and his brothers "Champ" and Tom starting at St. Brendan's in 1947. Since 1959, I used to run into him quite a lot for years when I would return to Elkins and he was always the same. Always smiling. Always glad to see me and talk. One of the good guys without question.

I shall greatly miss my long time and dear friend, and his ever present sense of humor. Hard to realize we won't again be sharing that 60 year old joke from our youthful smoking years, when I'd ask, "Got a light, Dick?". If you knew him well, you'd know his grinning response.

Dick's family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Rest well, good friend.
