Of Fox Chapel, on Tuesday, March 6, 2018. Beloved husband of Gail Nord for 62 1/2 years; cherished and much loved father of Ellen (Larry) Lebow of Pittsburgh, PA, Holly Kutner of Phoenix, AZ, and Marcy (Paul) Supowitz of Pittsburgh, PA; brother of Elayne (Moshe) Mangad of Sunny Isles Beach, FL, the late Samuel Nord and Ruth Kurman; grandfather of Molly, Katie, and Bo (Russell Slayton) Lebow, Lauren and Robin Kutner and Will and Juliet Supowitz; great-grandfather of Jonah Slayton. After graduating from Peabody High School, Albert served as an Army medic in World War II. A graduate of Northern Illinois College of Optometry, Albert practiced optometry from his Penn Avenue office in East Liberty for 45 years. Zayde always made us smile with his jokes. He bravely fought his way all the way back from a broken neck suffered in a fall 20 years ago. Friends may meet at RALPH SCHUGAR CHAPEL, INC., 5509 Centre Avenue, Shadyside, on Thursday, March 8, 2018, at 2 p.m. and then proceed to Adath Jeshurun Cemetery for 3 p.m. Graveside Services. Contributions may be made to The Jewish Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh, 5738 Forbes Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15217. www.schugar.com

Dear Gail and family,
I want to tell you how sorry I am and offer my condolences. I have many fond memories of our days in the sun at the JCC listening to his jokes. He was a true raconteur. Again, so sorry for your loss.
