My father met Al when they were stationed at Valdosta USAF, Georgia before I was born in 1955. The story goes that Al was unhappy with his assignment & my father traded 2 first lieutenants for Al who was a Captain in the USAF and my father, Ed MANOS, said that it was the best trade that he ever made. They were life long friends with Al always referring to my father as The Boss. Al would come to visit us throughout the years and walk on his hands for me. After my father's passing in 1998; Al was like a second father to my sister, Dianne, and myself. He always had sound advice & questions about my animals (horses & Working Dogs). He and I stated in contact with letters and phone calls - I will miss that and him so much. The most genuine and caring person that I have ever known. I will miss his light guiding me. Godspeed sweet man - I Love You !

Al and I met through our friend, Jimmy. Al had a wonderful way of telling a story and was very knowledgeable. He delighted in giving a mini key ring flashlight to everyone he met. Mine will always be a remembrance of his giving nature. In his conversations with Jimmy, which were many, he never failed to say, "give a big hello to Susan." He will be greatly missed...now he is at peace.
