Albert W. Puckett, age 80, of Litchfield died Wednesday, April 6, 2005, at the Meeker County Memorial Hospital.  Funeral services will be held 10 AM Monday, April 11, 2005 at Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield with Pastor Harvey Nelson officiating.  Visitation will be held from 2:00 - 5:00 PM Sunday with a 4:00 PM Sharing service at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield.  Military honors will be provided by the Admiral Benson V.F.W. Post #2818 and the Nelsan-Horton American Legion Post #104.  Interment will be in Ripley Cemetery in  Litchfield, MN.       

Albert William Puckett was born on August 29, 1924, the son of William and Ruth Meir Puckett in Ogilvie, Minnesota.  He attended high school in Mora, MN.  In 1942, Al became a Navy Seabee and served during WWII.  On April 26, 1947 he was united in marriage to Lillian Margery Rosvold in Milaca, MN.  He lived in Milaca from 1947 until moving to Lynd, MN in 1962. In 1966 he moved to Litchfield.  Al farmed, and was the owner of a construction and cement business.    He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, the American Legion, the V.F.W., and the Navy 40 and 8 Group.  He enjoyed gardening, playing cards, reading, spending time with his friends and removing snow with Old Blue.

Albert is survived by his children Kathy and Roger Allen of Chaska, Steve and Rochelle Puckett of Litchfield, Jeff and Mary Puckett of Litchfield, Donna and Harry Bracey of Middleton, WI, Danny and Robin Puckett of Grove City, Tim Puckett of Indianapolis, IN, Wendy Puckett and Dave Mallak of Chaska, and Karl Puckett of New Richmond, WI; 23 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.  He is also survived by his brothers Carl Minnie Puckett of Milaca and David Puckett of Victorville, CA; sisters Pearl Walton of Coon Rapids and Virginia Davis Larson of Lake Tahoe, CA; special friend Norma Snelling of Litchfield and many friends.  He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Lillian; sister Betty Porth and grandson Bryon Allen.
