He was my AP US History teacher at Allderdice in the 70s. I loved that class. What a great teacher. Rest In Peace.

Mr. Schnupp was the last teacher I ever had at Allderdice. I had him final period of my senior year. I loved that school year in his class. He was a wonderful and brilliant man.

Dear Kevin and Julia . So very very sad that Al is gone. What a remarkable brilliant man, so charming and witty and loving. He has been a joy in all the years we have known him. I will treasure all my memories of him. I am sad for your loss.Ann Schubert.

Al was my history teacher in his early days at Carrick High School. He was such a great teacher I followed him as a history teacher and would see him at many meetings. It was always a pleasure to discuss politics with him! I will miss him. God bless. Nancy Covato, Carrick alum and South Hills teacher

My condolences to the family--
I was one of Mr. Schnupp's AP history students--South Hills High School Class of '64
Mr. Schnupp was an excellent and gifted educator.
I was in his class when the message came over the loudspeaker that President Kennedy had been shot.
The image of the pain and emotion in his face is burned into my memory.

I remember Al back when I was a new teacher at Taylor Allderdice High School. He was such a nice man. Many times we had lunch together in the teachers lunch room on the fourth floor. I cannot remember a time when he was not a friendly, pleasant man. Sadly, there are no more from that lunch bunch from long ago.
I know Al will be missed by many. May your fond memories remain forever.
