Yes, we remember the times. Grateful and blessed to have the family memories "up in Bloomfield". Uncle Al was warm hearted and always had a kind word or smile. He will be missed. Our prayers and love go out to Aunt Pat, a selfless caregiver, our cousins, and family for this tough loss. Sincere condolences

I met Pat when our children were in Fairview School, Bloomfield, together. I do not remember meeting Al but from the expressions of sympathy he must have been a wonderful man. The family will have many wonderful and joyous memories, prayers for strength and healing for all.

Among my fondest family memories are the many Saturday night spaghetti dinners at Uncle Al and Aunt Pat's. We were altogether--mom, dad, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles and cousins--having fun in a safe place, with no agenda other than loving each other and boosting each other up. Well, altogether until Uncle Al had to respond to an EMT call, something he did selflessly, passionately and with all the love in his heart for 35 years. Uncle Al taught us and led us, usually not with a lot of words, but by his action and example instead. He was secure in what he believed and knew who he loved, including the Lord, and that seemed to bring him all the peace one can hope for in this world.
In the world as crazy as it seems now, there are plenty of occasions when I've wished we could all be together again around Uncle Al and Aunt Pat's dining room table. I hope I've been able to teach my own children and nieces and nephews in some small proportion to what Uncle Al did. Peace to all of his family and friends. I believe 'Spike' is with our Lord and Savior in peace.

My father was one of the most caring and compassionate people I have ever met. He had such a great sense of humor, and was a good listener. He taught me so many things and for that I am forever grateful. I hope I am half the person he was. I miss you Daddy. Love Mandy

I remember Mr. Sutterlin helping out with Troop 7 in Bloomfield with his sons Albert and Stephen. He was a very good man. I also worked with Amanda at McDonald's in Bloomfield. I am sorry for your family's loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
