Albert Charles Vaquez (Burt), age 80, of South Weymouth, MA passed away peacefully on July 1, 2024. He was the beloved husband, travel companion and best friend of Ann (Courtney) Vasquez, his "Annie".

Born in Los Angeles, CA in 1943, he was the son of the late Louise (Romo) and Albert Vasquez.

Burt dedicated over 30 years of service to public education through numerous roles. His passion for education transformed the lives of countless students and colleagues.

Burt enjoyed playing golf, listening to music, camping and enjoying many family vacations, especially to Maine. He treasured time spent with family, especially his 3 grandchildren, Jackson, Molly and Avery who affectionately referred to him as "Guppa".

In addition to his wife, Burt is survived by his two daughters, Courtney Medeiros and her husband Paul of Attleboro and Meredith Mara and her husband Pearce of Centennial, CO. He was the dear brother of Philip Vasquez and his wife Irene of Dana Point, CA and Gerald Vasquez and his wife Martha of West Covina, CA. He is also survived by his uncle/honorary older brother Gilbert Romo and his wife Gloria of Mission Viejo, CA as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

All services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to their favorite charity in Burt's name.
