Dr. Albert Wayne Wymore

I never met Professor Wymore, but his contributions to the field of systems engineering are legendary. Sleep in peace, professor.

Leslie and family, your Dad was special in so many ways. Not everyone can balance a distinguished career and family life. I hope it's a comfort to you, as it was for me with my Dad, to know that his 84 years were rich and full. I wish I had known him.

My prayers are with you all but if someone really lived life, it was he.

Dear Wymore Family,

I speak specifically as a friend of Farrell and Darcy, not really knowing the other children in the family. Your parents were always so friendly with me and their enthusiastic kindness and spirit will never be forgotten. The contributions of both of them definitely improved the essence of the human condition. Your dad's precious smile was such a glorious thing. His other monumental accomplishments obviously brought benefits in many venues. May you all continue to find peace in what he brought to all of us.

Dr. Wymore took interest in my progress as a freshman and launched my 5+ decade career in the information sciences. He was always willing to help, provided sound advice in times of stress and difficulty, but most of all lit the fire to seek new and challenging solutions to problems in many disciplines. His influence and vision launched many successful careers.

His family should be very proud of his many contributions and many of us are far better off for his influence.

Wayne Wymore's work did much to influence my approach to my work in my field; I learned a great deal from his class years ago and have never forgotten it. His influence reaches far. My most sincere condolences.
