JULIUS TANG Obituary

Julius P. Tang of Geneva Julius P. Tang, 81, died peacefully Friday, April 13, 2012, at Central DuPage Hospital Winfield. He was born Oct. 11, 1930, in Chicago, Ill. He was the son of the late Christopher and Mary Tang. Julius was an Air Force Veteran serving in the Korean War. He was a member of the St. Charles American Legion and a member of St. Patrick Church for 42 years. He was a former member of the St. Charles VFW. Julius worked for Commonwealth Edison for 39 years until retirement, and for the last 16 years he worked at the Main Street Car Wash in St. Charles. He also enjoyed his time working in the yard and various handy man projects around the house. Julius was an avid golfer and loved to play golf while visiting family members in Montana. He is survived by his wife, Julie of 44 years; three children, Chris (Donna), James and Jeffrey (Natalie) Tang; four grandchildren, Travis, Kevin, Alysiana and Olivia; and one great-grandchild, Carli. He was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph; and a sister, Vivian. A funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 400 Cedar St., St. Charles, with the Rev. Moises Apostol officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at the Yurs Funeral Home, 1771 W. State St. (Route 38), Geneva.
