Alec McAdam Obituary
He was born in Hemmingford, Quebec, July 24, 1942, the son of Hugh and Charlotte (Kerr) McAdam.
Mr. McAdam married the former Dorothy Brean at St. Joseph's Church in West Chazy in 1962; she died in 1987. In 1997, he married the former Ann Archambault in Chazy.
He was a former member of the West Chazy Volunteer Fire Dept. and loved to hunt, fish and trap.
As a young man, Alec was a farmer in both Quebec and New York. He later became a truck driver, working for several area trucking firms. While trucking, he and his wife also owned and operated the Stage Coach Bar and later the Trackside Bar in West Chazy. After retiring in 2004, he still worked part time driving for Roswell E. Beeman Trucking.
Survivors include his wife, Ann; two sons, Randy McAdam and his wife Tracey of Brushton, N.Y., and Roland McAdam and his wife Melissa of West Chazy; one daughter, Bradi McAdam of West Chazy; four brothers, Roy McAdam of Toronto, Ontario, Harvey McAdam of Hemmingford, Quebec, Douglas McAdam and his wife Kathy and Keith McAdam and his wife Patricia, all of Hemmingford; two sisters, Roberta Johnson of London, Ontario, and Shirley McAllister of Golden, British Columbia; a brother-in-law, James Reynolds and his wife Helen of West Chazy; four grandchildren, Hannah Fleury and her husband Christopher of Long Island, Emily and Joshua McAdam of Brushton and Robert McAdam of West Chazy; and several nieces and nephews.
One son, Robert McAdam; one brother, Merle McAdam; and one sister, Irene Reynolds; all died earlier.
Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home, 69 Court St., Plattsburgh.
A funeral service will beheld at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Robert W. Walker Memorial Chapel.
Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in West Chazy.
Donations in his memory may be made to the West Chazy Volunteer Fire Dept. and Rescue Squad.

So sorry to hear about your Dad's passing. He was agreat man and we had alot of great times with him at the Trackside, and Weathercock! I'm sure he'll be missed, but he has left us with a lot of good memories. RIP.
