The passing of this truly extraordinary man cannot adequately be expressed in a few lines when a biography is required. My late father John Ford served as special advisor to Secretary General Orfila at the O.A.S. The plethora of historical events Mr. Orfila was engaged in during his successful tenure there my father left in my possession. His ability to foster peaceful resolutions to a myriad of potential grievances between nations shows the mettle & courage of the man my father knew and called friend. Today's political prognosticators should study & emulate the character of Alex Orfila to tame the savagery of man and foster peace. The Lord bless the Orfila family for this world has lost a bright light. Richard Ford
