I knew Alex from my working at Home Depot. I knew Grampa before I knew Alex. (Grampa was my inspiration for growing and keeping my handlebar moustache) Whenever they would come in, we would chat. If Alex came in without Grampa, I would inquire about him. Alex was truly one-of-a-kind and will be sorely missed.

I can remember Alex (AKA FLUFFY) at our house many times and being at his graduation with my son Cody. He spent many of nights talking to him and telling him the importance of life. He was a GREAT man and inspired many people.

When my husband Shannon and I first started dating I think Alex was more excited than we were. 9 years later and he's still one of our favorite people ever. It's going to be weird not randomly running into you in the neighborhood or around town. Be at peace man, you're so loved.

Eventhough I have only known him as a customer at the South Lakeland Home Depot, I was shocked of his passing from the accident. He was a funny guy. Never met a stranger. He will be missed. The gentle giant.

The last time I seen Alex he introduced me as "his" Ms.Pam hard to believe that he could still get to me with that amazing smile and wonderful bear like hug, after all I was "just his babysitter" but I think that was the most special thing about Alex no one he came to know and care about was "just" a anyone he made you feel like you were everything. Heaven is brighter now that you are there Alex and you will be missed love "your Ms. Pam"

Alex was a very good friend of my son. He was in our home on a few occasions and he was always so very nice. Quite an interesting person to talk to and was always so cheerful. I believe someone earlier referred to him as the "perfect southern gentleman" and I would agree. Thankful for his friendship to my son, and our family.

Karla, Iris and the entire family, my heart is breaking for you during this difficult time. Hold your memories close and draw upon your faith to help you through the coming weeks and beyond. You are all in my prayers.

Alex was a student here at Traviss Career Center and a friend to my son Chris. Chris and Alex attended Mulberry Middle and High School together and Alex was one of the few who befriended my son. For that I will always be grateful. Alex was also very well liked by his classmates and teachers here at Traviss, he will be missed by many. Our condolences to his family.-Robert Driver

Alex (Fluffy) was a regular visitor to our house. He always came in with a big smile & hug and left the same way. A true southern gentleman, always willing to help in anyway that he possibly could. He spent many hours talking to our family members and each one of us loved him very much. Please know that we are praying for continued strength for his family & friends during this most difficult time. He inspired all of us to be more loving, kind and generous of spirit.

I didn't know Alex. But, what a Legacy he leaves this world with. God Bless all Alexs' family and friends.

Fluffy was the most sweetest, awesome, and thoughtful guy I've ever met. Every time he was around he always had a smile on, and always had something interesting and awesome to talk about. He's even came to fix a friend of mine, and I's tire in the middle of the night, no questions asked.There is NO WAY such an amazing guy will ever be forgotten<3
