ALEX CANNON
Sept. 3, 1923 - Jan. 27, 2007
Alex Cannon, 83, of El Centro passed away of natural causes on Saturday, January 27 in his home.
He was born September 3, 1923 in El Centro and raised in Holtville. He served in the WWII with the Navy and married Nancy Johnson in 1945 in Salinas. Alex worked as a produce grower and fertilizer salesman for over 40 years in the Imperial Valley. During that time, he and his wife Nancy raised four children in Holtville.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 31 at 1 p.m. at Calvary Chapel, located at 1923 Austin Rd. in El Centro with Pete Mallinger officiating.
Burial will be private.
He was preceded in death by his parents Elic and May Cannon; brother Don Cannon; sisters Lucille Purdy and Lorene Holdridge; and son Ralph Cannon.
Alex is survived by his wife Nancy Cannon of El Centro; children and thier spouses, Jack and Alexis Dewbre of Holtville, Sam and Stacey Cannon of Prunedale, CA., and Tim and Tamra Noè of San Diego; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Calvary Chapel in El Centro.

To the Cannon family, So sorry to hear of your loss. My husband worked for Alex when we first moved her from Pomoma. That was 1975-1980. He was so dear, last March when Mike passed away he looked me up at work to express his sympathy.
