Alex is a hero. Passing away of a man is inevitable but achieving greatness is rare. Alex is a rare gem. He is a man of an administrative colosus, indeed he is an icon. I prayed God will give your family the fortitude to be this great loss especially Morgan as he always talks about .

I am so sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of meeting Alex at the Winthrop Lacrosse games. I had heard so much about him from my daughter and couldnt wait to meet him. When I we met I instantly felt like I knew him forever. He was so kind, loving and supportive of the girls. I know my daughter Caroline adored him along with her roommates. They had many fun adventures with him and appreciated his friendship and support of the team. It was a honor to know him!! And it was comforting to know the girls had a great support system. They and we will miss him. I loved when he came to the tailgates. He made the best Bloody Mary ! I am still trying to perfect mine to be like his. RIP our sweet friend. You will be missed but never forgotten.

Tyson, Ben, and Morgan...so sorry to hear of the death of your Dad. I loved your comment of the "high water pants"...can't think of Alex without seeing him in shorts. I say prayers for you all. Losing a parent is so hard, they are our anchors to the world. I know how much he loved you all and how proud he was of you.

Alex will be greatly missed by me. He was the light of my life and a true friend who was there when I needed a supporting hand. He was generous , kind and a gentleman. Alex James was a character and always brought a smile to my face. He loved his children and was proud of their accomplishments! I will miss him and will never forget him.
