Alex S. Hoffman

Alex Sullivant Hoffman June 13, 1986 May 22, 2017 Alex Sullivant Hoffman, age 30, died at home on Monday, May 22, 2017. Born in State College, Alex graduated from Bellefonte Area High School, where he played basketball and was on the cross country and track teams. He later obtained an Associate Degree in Business from Allegheny Community College. Alex was a loving son, brother, and uncle. He had great aspirations, but struggled with addiction and depression and thus he never had a chance to reach his full potential in life. Alex was much loved by his family and many friends, and he will be greatly missed. He had a special place in his heart for Otto, the family dog. Alex enjoyed music and jamming with his friends. Alex is survived by his mother, Cathy Techmanski-Hoffman; sister and brother-in-law, Lindsay and Jon Bixler; nephew Carson Bixler; aunts and uncle, Susan and Jack Techmanski and Elizabeth Hoffman Bistline. He was preceded in death by his father, William Sullivant Hoffman; his grandparents, Gladys and Lynne Hoffman, Roberta and William Techmanski; and aunt, Jane Flynn. Funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
