I continue to think about Alex often. Alex and I spoke often, when he was a little guy at the Merrill school and then again when he lived at West Cedar and the Pride Group in LeMars. Alex told me I taught him a lot. However, I am positive he taught me more. I will continue to pray for Alex when his memories jump into my mind. Always making me smile, he is missed.

I was thinking about Alex today. It was just one of those moments when he entered my thoughts and gave me a pause to remember what a special and strong man he was. I miss him yet there is a smile in my heart because I knew him. I pictured him standing with Grampa John in the kitchen when the national anthem was being played before a baseball game. Simple joy.

Cathy & Family,

My deepest sympathies on Alex's passing. I always enjoyed him being around. Every time we met, he made sure I saw his new Harley boots, or new Harley belt buckle. He will be missed.

May God hold you in His arms during your time of sorrow.

This is such sad news - Alex became my friend in a very short time after i started working at the Pride Group...what a special guy taken way to soon... i hope the family finds comfort that he did love living at the Pride Group (he told me this many times) and he always talked about his family and how much he loved them - Enjoy your chopper ride in the sky my friend, and lord, please wrap your arms around Alex's family tight and comfort them during this extremely difficult time with their loss.

Sending love & hugs to all of you! I'll miss seeing Alex at church and getting to catch up with him! He was always the sweetest - so concerned about how things were going with Keylee & I.

I was shocked to hear Alex's passing. I went to school with Alex from Kluckhohn Elementary all the way to high school. He always had a smile on his face in the halls of school. I will always remember his cowboy boots and hat.
