Alex is predeceased by his father, David Alvin Meux, Sr., son, Darrius M. Quarles, brothers, David Alvin Meux, Jr., and George Frederick Meux.
Alex is survived by his loving mother, Etta Meux, caring children, son, Alex Meux Jr, daughter, Mi'Era Meux, of Indianapolis, IN, son, Nigel Meux of Minneapolis, Minnesota; wife, Geathro Smith of Alabama. 1 sister, Sarah (Paul) Thomas of Las Vegas, NV; 1 brother Eric B. Meux of Elkhart, IN; 5 loving grandchildren, Nolan Meux, Kimora Meux, Amahri Meux, Ace Meux, Alyx Meux, Ah'Mynn Nelson, and William Brookshire V. And a host of uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives, and special friends.
There will be a private memorial celebration of life on Saturday, June 21, 2025, in Houston, TX. A live stream will be available upon request.
