Dear Willis Family,

I feel incredibly lucky to have had the opportunity to get know your amazing son, Alex, as his photography teacher at Blue Valley High (You might also remember me as the teacher that dropped off his senior yard sign). Alex and I connected immediately over our mutual love of classic rock music and I always looked forward to getting to talk with him during class and after school while he worked hard on his photography projects. Alex was always so positive, hard-working, and had a great sense of humor. He was always such a bright spot in my day. I am deeply saddened to learn of his passing and can´t even begin to imagine the pain you must feel at the loss of such a wonderful young man. I will always cherish the memories I have of Alex and the amazing person he was. I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Sincerely,
Kristen Pickell

I worked with Alex at Capitol Federal this summer. What an intelligent, funny, and kind young man! I knew, through his actions that he was raised in a great family. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Alex, and our many conversations. He made the world a better place. I am so very sorry for your loss.

Janet, Pat and Zach - our deepest condolences for your loss. Alex was a very special young man. We were lucky to have been able to get to know Alex during our visits to the House. He was always warm, friendly, and personable in our interactions with him. He was a very special young man. He was our son´s, Benjamin, roommate for two years at Kappa Sigma. Benjamin is a better person for the time he got to spend with Alex. We cannot imagine what you all are going through in dealing with this loss. We will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if there´s anything we can do to be of support to you.
Warmest regards,
David and Charlene Anderson

Patrick, Janet, Bob and family - I´m not sure there are words that can even begin to lessen your sorrows or sooth your grief at this time. As a parent, I cannot imagine the emotions.

Please rest in knowing that Alex came from a strong, loving, and supportive family, and for that he is truly Blessed. You are also Blessed for having him as part of your lives, and the great memories of his time here will provide strength to get through the present and bring joy and happiness for eternity.

I have never met Alex but he lived in a bright light in the eyes of his mom, my friend and work colleague, Janet. I loved listening to her stories about Alex and what a delight he was. After reading his obituary, I feel he would have made everyone´s life better for knowing him. My deepest condolences to my friend, Janet and to Alex´s entire family and friends. May he Rest In Peace.
