Alex was born on March 11, 1984 in Phoenix, AZ. He proudly served our country in a tank division of the U.S. Army. Alex is Survived by:
? Grandparents~ Dick and Janice Harrington; Rita Albin
? Mother~ Lela Johnston (Clay Johnston)
? Siblings~ Janelle Faunce (Terry Faunce), Ginger Gallardo (Tony Peterson), Daniel Gallardo (Tara Gallardo)
? Nieces~ Claudia, Madeline, Carmella, Gemma, and Valentina; Nephew Daniel Gallardo
? Extended Family~ Aunt Denise Gallardo, Aunt Dianna Montoya, Aunt Danelle Benson (Brett Benson), Amy Bell (Sterling Bell), Delaina Gallardo (Maryisa Poltorak), Justin Caronna (cousin), Robert Montoya (Carrie Montoya) Uncle Richard, Aunt Emma; cousins Nina and Carlo.
Alex will be laid to rest with military honors at 11am on Monday December 18, 2017 at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona located at 23029 N Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85024. We will be meeting at Mellow Mushroom in the private room located at 5350 E High St, Phoenix, AZ 85054 immediately following the ceremony at 12pm.

Alex Gordon Gallardo. You were my true love. I will continue to love you, never forget our time together, the laughter, adventures, random walks, and hard times that one way or another we got through. To Alex's family, I'm so sorry about your loss. This does not seem real to me. I first met Alex's before our elementary school basketball game, he walked up to me and said " are the one that no one can guard" all I could do is laugh and said " I guess". Before walking away he said to me " I got you today". Each time we met each other on the basketball court was a battle lol. But as we entered high school we became family. I am going miss you brother and since that first day we met I will always have that love for you bro. Rest well Alex, rest well.

Alex was my brother/best friend.... so I thought. For him to leave me and everyone in my family is insane! So many questions, so many thoughts, so many what ifs.... I don't understand and I never will... we had plans togeather, deep detailed plans... he was amazing, he was different, he is an artist! Forever changed.....now what?

I only met Alex once, and unfortunately it was at a gathering for another friend that left this earth. He was however, full of happiness and making everyone laugh albeit we were together for a somber occasion. I could tell right away that he was a genuine personality. He offered up the van seat he was sitting in to let me sit, gentleman! Long story short, I enjoyed the very short and bittersweet time I spent with him. My condolences to his family, friends, and anyone whose life he touched.

Alex and I were friends for about 10 years. He was always sweet to me and loved my chubby dog. He nicknamed her Tubbs and I still call her that today. He loved and had compassion for every animal he saw. I always thought that was the sweetest part of him. I'll miss sending funny cat memes to him, eating popsicles on my couch and looking at funny YouTube videos. We had so many heart warming memories that I will cherish forever. I'll miss him dearly, he truly was one of a kind. Love you forever sweet Alex. XO
