By sheer curiosity I found the documentary on these two very beautiful people living as they dreamed. Just lovely.

I found your documentary by accident while browsing. It caught my attention right away. I am 66 years old. I and my husband of 48 years are preparing to move from a large 1871 schoolhouse. We've been here for 36 or so years. I've had a bit of a hard time with it. Indolence creeps up on me like a thick mist. I'll be more brave as I move forward. Thank you and Sandy ( a gentle old soul). It really has been helpful.

Dear Mrs. Grant: I just watched Keys to the Castle with great care and great delight and in wanting to learn more of what happened since (and before) the film, I came upon this obituary. I want to thank you for giving the filmmaker (and - therefore - all of us strangers) the chance to experience your amazing story and beautiful castle restoration. I am sorry for your loss of Sandy, and I am admiring of your marriage and your life together and terribly curious as to what you are doing now. Your amazing shared story lives on in my heart.

That it was an absolute delight watching your documentary and allowing us in to a fragment of yours and Sandy’s lives. I am happy that you had a few years together in a warm home but your lives in Inverquharity Castle must have been wonderful. May Sandy rest In Peace and May you stay healthy!

Mrs. Grant - it was an honor to watch your story on television. I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed the banter you and Sandy had, and the deep love and respect you had for one another was certainly evident. They say home is where the heart is. As lovely as your castle is, you made your home where Sandy needed to be and that kind of fortitude and selflessness is like the rarest gem at the top of the crown. You are an amazing woman with a quiet resilience. Truly remarkable the pair of you. My deepest condolences at Sandy's parting.

Mrs. Grant - thank you for sharing your story (through the documentary). It was so personal and yet so universal. For me, it was the story of my mother packing up 25 years of living in the 1845 farmhouse she had restored. And yet it was also the story of me living with an elderly husband whose health is in decline. Your grace and fortitude touched me deeply. Thank you.

As your beautiful wife put it in the documentary of your stoic castle, tactfully late is better than early although I'm not so sure the degree to my tardy guest book entry is as two minutes set in the example...
Ive only just met with the introductions! ❤ Hello and goodbye all at once, sigh..
So your life's work is upon my heart in a way only the television can do.. I'm so blessed to have had the opportunity to be enchanted by your sharing a smattering of your life with whomever the spirit moves thru... I began my day late, put on coffee and toast to accompany my video course work and keys to the castle just took me off into another aspect of our moments shared on the planet .. I'm in Florida Sandy! Oh how wonderful to take the couch to Scotland for the enrichment of my souls edification in and thru all that I have cultivated in my own journey! Thank you so much and blessings to your beautiful wife who also touched my heart in a very meaningful way.
Heavens... You both are incredibly loving and truly a treasure of the source that connects us all as one.
with love and grace, L

Dear Mrs. Grant,

I just watched the documentary and immediately went to research on the Internet. How awe inspiring you are! I just turned 70 and watching you has given me a sense of renewal. I live in the United States but I have been to Scotland. You took such good care of Sandy while you oversaw the care of the property. Darren needs to make a documentary of you in the bungalow!
