Alex was a citizens no nonsense dream judge. As a fellow Hungarian descent I had the great pleasure of being awarded an auction contract by Alex on behalf of my client. I was new to the business and was competing with a man who was in the business before I was born, was the NAA & FAA past president with his world headquarters in the same county as the subject project. However, Alex awarded me the contract. Great memories.

He was such a kind man to work with when he came to Orlando for bankruptcy hearings. I was a Trustee and never could have succeeded without his help. My condolence to his wife and boys.

He added honor and dignity to every endeavor. He was an inspiration, and a model for the judges that served with him. He never allowed controversy, nor boredom, to exit his courtroom unexamined. He was one of a kind, a great one of a kind. He was an immigrant, one of the many well educated professionals that chose to leave, and accept low wage work to support themselves as they again climbed the ladder of success. The Right to a Fresh Start after an orderly bankruptcy is guaranteed by the US CONSTITUION in Article 1 adopted early on. People like this judge gave meaning to that right and dignity and respect to this truly American process. Thank You.

Judge Paskay's bankruptcy class at Stetson was top notch. Fifteen years later, I still use the text book he wrote as a starting point for research. With deepest sympathy to his family, friends, and colleagues,
