Alexander Sherrer Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Mar. 15 to Mar. 19, 2023.
Alexander Sherrer We are heartbroken to announce the death of our father and brother, Alexander Joseph Sherrer and his beautiful wife, Jolene Joyce Sherrer. They passed away peacefully within a few days of one another in early March 2023, Alex at the age of 72 and Jolene at the age of 70, surrounded by family and friends in Jacksonville, Florida.

Alexander Joseph Sherrer, was born to Alexander T. Sherrer and Connie Sherrer (nee Stankunas) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on October 8, 1950. Alex loved dearly and was raised by Carl Clauss Jr and Connie Clauss (nee Stankunas). He grew up in Jamison, Pennsylvania with his two brothers, Andrew Clauss and Carl Clauss III. After Alex graduated from Central Bucks High School, he joined the United States Navy where he served for four years. After a short break, Alex joined the United States Coast Guard where he retired as a Chief Warrant Officer after serving his country for 24 years.

Alex married Jolene Sherrer in 1986 and they lived all over the coastal United States when Alex was serving in the Coast Guard. Alex is survived by five special grandchildren, beloved children Alice Doverspike and Peter Sherrer, and brothers Andy and Carl Clauss.

We were stocked and sadden to learn of the passing of Alex and Jolene
We were their next door neighbors for decades until last December when we relocated to Michigan.
Always enjoyed a chat and loved Jolene“s light happy laughter.
Sincere sympathy for your loss.
