As a patient of Dr. Silverman since the 1980's I have followed him where ever his office was located. He is always in my thoughts as the physician who genuinely cared about his patients. I recall him talking about his vegetable garden. I extend my sympathy to his family.

To the Silverman family,

We were so very sorry to learn of Dr. Silverman's death. Susan and I have been patients of Dr. Silverman since 1985, and was a kind man with great integrity. He spoke ofen of his grandchildren and loved to talk about his family, of whom he was so proud. You are all in our prayers.

To the Silverman family,

I'd like to extend my deepest sympathy to the Silverman family. I worked part time for Dr. Silverman and Dr. Schmitt while in high school and business school. Dr. Silverman was a true gentleman and a wonderful doctor. He always spoke so lovingly of his family . . . a very proud man. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. May your memories, which I'm sure are numerous, help you through this difficult time.

All of us are thinking of Roz and express our deepest sympathy. Little did we suspect that when we said goodbye to Roz and Alex on November 12, 2004 that it would be so final for Alex. He was a warm, endearing, calm, intelligent man. He was not only a client, but a person whom we considered a friend. We always enjoyed his visit and our discussions. He is missed.

Dear Silverman Family,

My parents and I were patients of Dr. Silverman. Many of those years, we drove in for appointments from Greensburg to the Medical Arts Building, his Shadyside Office, and most recently, his office on Brownsville. Trusted his treatments and advice completely.

Sincere sympathy,

Esther & Margaret MacDonald

Dearest Roz,

Amy called last evening to tell us this very sad news. You know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Alex attended dad for a few items and he treated him with the kindness of one who would be taking care of his own father. I will always remember this.

He truly was a gentle-man.

Dear Roz and Family,

Chester and I are so sorry for your loss of such a fine man. Alex was a great and kind person along with being an extraordinary physician. I always said the ride from Sq. Hill to Brentwood was not far beacuse seeing Alex was worth the trip. His knowledge of current treatments was so impressive. We often spoke of your family's accomplishments and of course the beautiful grandchildren. We extend our deepest condolences.

The "special friendship" that Alex shared with my Mother & Father ( Faye & Erv Rubenstein) truly enriched their lives. I know that they, too, would be deeply saddened by his passing. My thoughts & prayers are with you, wishing you comfort & peace.

Mrs. Silverman and family, as the word spread among us dermatologists about his passing, so many of my colleagues seemed to have huge soft spots in their hearts for Alex. A truly gentle man . . . hoping for your peace, and remembering a fine man.
