I don´t know if you will see this note 6 weeks after her service, but I want to say that Sandy was very special to me. I never had her as a teacher. She assisted with preparation of VHS class prom in 1968. I was in charge of the prom decorations. She was young and enthusiastic and caring. Those of us who were given the chance to enjoy and learn from her caring spirit were truly blessed. I remember when we dedicated the yearbook to her. It was a very exciting day. We had managed to keep it a secret until the announcement. She was so touched to be given that honor. She touched so many lives through her dedication as an educator. I have never forgotten her smile. I guess the Lord wanted to finally give her rest. She is now at peace in His loving arms. Or maybe she´s in Heaven still spreading joy. My condolences for your loss. You were truly blessed to have she as a wife and mother.

Sandy was an incredible steward of BHS when I was there in the mid 90s. Thankful for all that she did for so many thousands of students that passed through those halls

Sadly, we´re just seeing this August 18. We have such fond memories of Sandy when all 3 of our children were at Ballard High School and participated in the outstanding choral program there. Her devotion to the students and education will be her legacy for years to come.

Sandy hired me as her assistant principal at Ballard. I learned soooo much from her. I have taken those learnings into roles a as principal, Assistant superintendent, superintendent, dean of education, dean of graduate schools, and university provost. I will never forget her kindness to me and for all of these, I am grateful! May God rest her soul and grant peace to her family!

Sandy was the High School Counselor while I was at Moore High School. I actually worked with her in the Counselor's office during my study hour. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know her! I have wondered where she was and how she was doing in the years since then. I am so sorry to hear of her death and will be praying for her family in the days ahead. Blessings, Robin Woody, Moore High School, Class of1973
