Alexandria Pierce Obituary
GREENSBORO — Alexandria Janzelle ("AJ") Baker Pierce left this world behind in the early morning of June 11, 2011. AJ was born on Sunday, January 3, 1988 in New Orleans when her beloved Saints were playing in the Superdome against Minnesota in their very first playoff game. She was a student at the University of North Carolina in Greensboro and a lead teacher at The Sunshine House.
It is impossible to mention all of the individuals who loved AJ and mourn her loss. A few of them are: her mother, Anita D. Baker, of Durham, NC; her father and stepmother, Roy Terry Pierce and Diane Deruisa Pierce of New Orleans, LA; her sisters - Naomi JourNae Baker Hodges of Durham, NC; Victoria A. Pierce of Southaven, MS; Raquel Squall of Stockbridge, GA; Shonne and Tonya Pierce of New Orleans, LA; and her grandmother, Ferne Mayzelle Fulbright Baker of Hickory, NC.
A celebration of life will be held for AJ at 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at First Calvary Baptist Church, 1311 Morehead Avenue, Durham, NC 27707.
In lieu of flowers, anyone wishing to honor AJ is encouraged to donate to any program or organization of their choice that focuses on helping our young people to live fully with love and kindness for all. One such organization is Campaign 4 Change, PO Box 3355, Durham NC 27702.

Miss AJ was not only a wonderful person but a great teacher to my 2 yr old daughter at daycare. Her bright smile and positive attitude will forever be missed. My prayers go out to her family and all those affected. Not a day goes by that I don't think of her.
