Today I sit here and wonder... Why Lord? Why? Why take away someone like Lexi. A wife, a mother, a friend to everyone. And I mean everyone. It amazes me the mutual friends we had and never even realized until just the other day. It doesn't surprise me, because how could you not love Lexi? I have so many wonderful memories of her. I could go on for hours.
Life can be so unfair at times. We all have struggles and crosses to bear, but Lexi would get right back up when she got knocked down and would fight even harder to get what she wanted. Her determination inspired me to make a change and I thank her everyday for pushing me forward.
My girls and I are going to miss you so much. There is not a day that goes by your name isn't mentioned in our house. Dria has learned so much because of you. She even learned a little Greek. Katelyn looked up to you like a big sister, and as for me.... I don't know what I'm gonna do. You were always there for me when I would have a breakdown. You were a best friend to me, someone I could talk to and
not be judged.
Until we meet again... Make sure you guide and protect our children, and give My Deano and Daddy a big hug and kiss from me. I know you are up there with Scott, Dean and all your loved ones having a great time.
Missing you so much already...

Over 1,000 miles in one day to see my most precious niece one last time. I've made this trip too many times driving mile after mile thinking about the person who is always the most beautiful, the kindest, who has the biggest heart who would do anything for anyone those are the ones who are always taken too soon and that was Alexia. I remember how she would tease my hair until I wanted to cry but I wouldn't say a word because I knew my hair would look beautiful for days. How she was quick to help anyone who needed it. How she had a surprise birthday party for Bobby and Cara's daughter Cali when we visited their Myrtle Beach vacation. She was never pretentious and so beautiful, just look at her children. As I drove it went from mist to fog to storm all the way to South Carolina. As the rain hit the windshield all I could think of was all our tears the tears from people room after room of friends and family shed for Alexia. My mother always said that when it rained on the day of your burial the world was crying for you well it was for you Alexia.
We will never know the answer to "why" but what we can do is always remember Alexia with good thoughts, help take care of her children, be kind to one another, do a good deed in her memory, say a prayer for her. In the old ways the family would follow a 40 day mourning tradition I think I'll do it. As I always say my greatest hope is that they are all together. I love you. Aunt Diane.

I'm so sorry to hear of Alexcia's passing. My deepest sympathy and condolences goes out to Dean and the kids. Alexcia's Parents and Patrick. And to the Fornauf Family. I have known Dean and Alexcia since we were weeeee little south siders. She always had the biggest smile and even bigger heart. It's been many many years since we all seen each other. But she still made the effort to contact me when my son was born to check in That's the kind of person she was. A caring soul. Alexcia will be missed greatly by so many. Fly high beautiful girl. You are at peace now. Run with God. Look over your loved ones and kids. RIP

My heart is heavy for you all. Even though its been some time since we were neighbors on 19th, I kept up with all the Dalverney/Fornauf happenings on social media. Alexcia was such a great mother and truly seemed to have an appreciation for the value of family and friends that so many of us overlook these days. Sending positive thoughts and strength to Dean, the kids, Sandy, Fred, Pat, and the rest of the family.
