A few years back I played Trumpet at the ROY Wilkins Theatre upon running into Alpha and her husband TINKER BARFIELD she said to me I just loved the way you played the trumpet. It was a very great inspiration to hear that coming from her. I always try to make the trumpet sound like like a voice that´s why I use a Trumpet mute thank you Miss Anderson. You made me feel good that evening by making that comment to me my condolences to the family, TINKER BARFIELD and extended family. God bless you all. Amen.

My Condolences to her husband & her family. I sent a chat message to ALFA in April 2021 about a video of her with Lucy and Norma Jean. She replied back and said it was probably when they were in Italy. I told her the one time I saw her and CHIC was at our Houston Astrodome in the 1980's at the KOOL JAZZ FESTIVAL and how impressed I was at Tony Thompson ( nickname " T- BONE" on how fast he was on the drums. REST IN PEACE "ALFA, TONY & BERNARD & LUTHER VANDROSS".

She was CHIC. She, Norma Jean Wright and Luci Martin. I met Her twice on Broadway and She spoke and was kind. That's ALL that I have to say. May ALLAH Her grant her Soul Peace.

I still listen to her music my memories of my youth identify with Chic. It's a sad day in ones life when the entertainers you listened to growing up are passing way. Thank you for the memories Alfa.

Such an incredible singer with an amazing voice, it was so recognizable. Chic was a favorite group of mine and Alfa´s voice was always great to hear. Sincere condolences to the Anderson family. So very sorry for your loss. May God grant peace to you all at this very difficult time of your loss.

I met her in Sugar Bar with Norma Jean..beautiful chic surely be missed. I grew up on the Chic.
