Thanks Coach Matthew´s for being a great coach and mentor. RIP

Coach Matthew was my wrestling coach at Campbell High School in the late 60´s. He was a good coach that instilled in us a hard work ethics and to strive for your best. He was a coach that didn´t yell or use unwise words at us. He got the most out of his wrestlers and you wanted to work hard for him. I will not forget him and the good impact he had on my early years. Thanks Coach for living a life well lived.

I wanted to send my condolences to the Matthews family, I remember Mr Matthews from Blackford High School, he was a good teacher and coach. He will be missed but not forgotten. John Bridgeman class of 1989

I had the privilege of working with Al and Rita at Blackford High School. I´m blessed to have fond memories of them both, particularly Al and his fun stories about his younger days. Wishing peace and comfort to their family and friends during this difficult time.

Coach was my wrestling coach at CHS. He instilled in me many of the values and work ethic which has served me well my entire life. Thank you Coach. I will never forget you.

I played football with Al at Monterey Junior College. Al was always a gentleman & the reason we won the Championship.
