We have lost another piece of our community foundational rock. Mom Alice served tirelessly for decades. A pillar of strength, she gave all of her to all of us. Mom gave out discipline, guidance, jokes, rides, hugs & smiles. She gave of her time & love. She gave hope & enterprise. She led by example: hard working to benefit all. She knew her struggles yet sought her goals. She never gave up. She got her home & her bus. You will be missed on earth but your beautiful smile & words happy to see you again will remain in my heart. Family rejoice: Mom Alice has her wings. Fly Miss Alice for you are now with our Greatest.

I am sorry for your loss. It is always hard to lose a loved one in death. Our heavenly father is very aware and understands the pain you feel. He will give you comfort (Psalms 86:6,7) Your family has my deepest sympathy.

As the first grandchild - the one that gave you the well-known name, "Nan", I will forever miss you! The only peace I have, which will help me get through each day, is knowing we will some day see each other again....I love you
~Kiana, your 1st grandchild

Having children now of my own I truly understand the great patience Mrs Brown had for us on Bus 45. She helped to shape me and others. Our sincerest sympathies to the family.
