Terri, Joni and Todd,
I was your mom's ironing customer for many years. She was truly one of the kindest and most genuine people I have ever met. Never did I leave her home without a smile on my face, and often a loaf of her wonderful banana bread. She was generous and sweet; always interested in what I had to say. She touched many lives with her warmth and I was truly inspired by her example. Love and prayers to you in this time of terrible loss.

Joni, Terri & Todd (and Wes!): What a gem Durley was! I have such fond memories of the Wilmo clan of Warren, Wes and Durley getting together and can just see them as little ones at the house on Berner with Thomina rolling lefse nearby. Durley was kind, warm, funny and thoughtful and I know her brothers loved her dearly! She will be truly missed - and know that her impact went far beyond Bloomington, MN ;-) God Bless!

Joni & Family-
I want to send you all my love in this time of hardship. I am very honored to have been able to spend the time with your Mom that I did, and there isn't a thing in the world I would trade that for. She became a truly special person to me and the love I have for her will never fade. Just look at all the lives she has touched throughout hers and let it put your souls at ease. I love you all and thank you for the pleasure of taking me into your lives. You will always hold a piece of my heart.
All my love. <3

My Mother Kept A Garden
My Mother kept a garden.
A garden of the heart;
She planted all the good things,
That gave my life it's start.

She turned me to the sunshine,
And encouraged me to dream:
Fostering and nurturing
The seeds of self-esteem.

And when the winds and rains came,
She protected me enough;
But not too much, she knew I'd need
To stand up strong and tough.

Her constant good example,
Always taught me right from wrong;
Markers for my pathway
To last my whole life long.

I am my Mother's garden,
I am her legacy.
And I hope today she feels the love,
Reflected back from me.

THIS IS FOR US ALL WHO HAVE A WONDERFUL MOTHER,

God's Garden
God looked around his garden
And found an empty place,
He then looked down upon the earth
And saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain.
He knew that you would never
Get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb.
So he closed your weary eyelids
And whispered, ‘Peace be thine'.
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn't go alone,
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home
