To the Glinski family
My sincerest condolences on the passing of your mother. Mrs Glinski left an incredible memory in my heart with her infectious smile every time she came in to attend the annual Excellence in Research lecture recognizing the contributions of Dr Glinski to the University of Ottawa. Her presence, every year, with all of you around her is one of the best memories I have of my years as dean in the faculty. I thoroughly enjoyed my cahts with her. I still have one very special picture of this event where she was seated in the middle surrounded by several of you and many professors who benefited from Dr Glinski’s leadership of the department of Electrical Engineering. She clearly held the family together even as she held on to one of you. She was an inspiring lady and one who touched everyone who met her. My most sincere condolences from UBC in Vancouver.

Dear Robert, Nina, Ann, Helen, Zina, Margie, and Kathy
I will always remember your Mom as a very kind and gracious lady. I remember your parents welcoming all 6 of us into your home when we moved to Ottawa after my Dad died in 1958. I am sure we made the house quite crowded but it did not seem to phase Alice. I was only 5, so I am not sure how long we stayed but it seemed like weeks.
I am sorry that I did not have a chance to speak with all of you at the funeral. Both George and Alice will always hold a special place in my heart and prayers.

Dear Nina,Robert,Joanne,and family,
I am sorry I can not be there to offer my condolences in person. The memories I have of your beautiful mom are very vivid in my mind. I remember the delicious graduation cake she made for us Nina, the very warm hospitality at your cottage and home and the great chats we would have. I was always in awe of how she handled bringing up all her children with such individual interest and attention. She was a beautiful woman both inside and out and a wonderful example and inspiration to all.

Dear Mike and Family,
We wanted to extend our heartfelt condolence for the loss of your Grandmother. In the few times that we have met Alice she always gave us the impression that she enjoyed life to the fullest.
Although we all mourn the loss of Alice we believe that Grandma Alice with an emphasis on the GRAND would want us to celebrate her life.
Please accept our sincerest sympathies,

Dear Nina:
Just wanted to offer my condolences to you and your family on the recent death of your mom. I remember clearly from our early days in high school when we used to "hang-out" at your home on Granville Avenue. I think we had one or two sleep-overs. I remember always being impressed with your mom's beauty and soft gentle nature. Her beautiful picture shows that she hasn't changed much from those early days. Please pass my sympathies along to your family. My prayers will be with each and every one of you. Mary Ann Worden (Thibault)

Dear Robert, Nina, Ann, Helen, Zina and family,
Remembering your mother as a most generous, welcoming and wonderful woman. She was always inclusive and her ability to remind you [with a sparkle in her eyes] of times long in the past was always magical and clear evidence of the genuine interest she took in everyone. Alice was a rare matriarch and was deeply respected by so many.
With loving sympathies,
Yours ever

Dear members of the Glinski family,
The students, staff, and faculty members of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Ottawa wish to express their deepest condolences on the passing of Ms. Alice Glinski.
For many years, Ms. Glinski and her family have been strong supporters of our faculty. Since 1990, 15 professors of the Faculty of Engineering have received the prestigious George S. Glinski Award for Excellence in Research. It was always a pleasure to welcome back Ms. Glinski, who was often accompanied by other members of her family, to the Faculty when the award was presented to a new recipient.
Our thoughts are with you during these difficult times and we want to assure you that the memory of Alice and George will endure at the University of Ottawa.

Dear Robert, Nina, Ann, Helen, Zina, Margie and Kathy,
On behalf of my sisters Katherine and Sheila please accept our condolences on the passing of your Mother. We first came to know your family when we moved to Birch Avenue in 1950 and you were our neighbours directly behind us. Our parents, and particularly our Mothers developed a close friendship that last throughout their lives. Through this friendship we were able to follow your lives and careers which were of much interest to us.
My wife, Marny, came to know your Mother as a result of often meeting her at the Bank where they both had accounts. Marny spoke of your Mother's cheerfulness, graciousness and strength of character that was so obvious to all who knew her.
Having lost our Mother in 2009 I can sympathize with you at this time. My only words of comfort are to remember that your Mother made our society just a litle better and that she leaves a family that I am certain will carry on her legacy.

To The Family.....
Please accept my deepest sympathies.....your dear Mother on many occasions, over the years, visited our cafeteria at 1081 Carling...as well as the Drugstore on the same floor. She was always so pleasant and a delight to serve and we shared many conversations...in which she always made reference to her dear family. May your fond memories comfort you now.

My condolences to the Glinski family on this loss. Our family grew up in the old West End .I think I was actually the only one of my sisters who didn't have a pal in the Glinski gang. My sisters always had amazing times at your mother's creative kids parties...still treasured memories four decades later. My mother Flo greatly enjoyed her friendship with Alice, her stimulating conversations and appreciated her kindness most especially after Dad's death. My sympathies. Leacy O'Callaghan-O'Brien
