Alice M Hazeltine

On Saturday, September 16th, Alice Hazeltine, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away at age 77, surrounded by her family.

Alice was born on December 17, 1945 in Summit, NJ to F. Warren and Marion (Reeve) Rimback. She received her bachelor's degree in education from Newark State Teacher's College, now Kean University, in 1967 and taught elementary school for the better part of 30 years, concluding her teaching career as the principal of Lighthouse Christian Academy. On June 27, 1970, she married Colin R. Hazeltine, her soulmate and the love of her life. Together, they lived on Long Beach Island and raised one daughter, Sandra.

Alice had a passion for her faith and always kept it at the forefront of how she lived her life each day. She loved teaching and always held a special place in her heart for Lighthouse Christian Academy. She was an avid reader and antique enthusiast. Above all else, she valued her dear friends, her family, and cherished every minute with her beloved grandson, Colin. She will be remembered for her kind and generous spirit, always willing to help anyone in need.

Alice was preceded in death by her father, F. Warren; her mother, Marion; and her husband, Colin R. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra; son-in-law, Thomas; and grandson, Colin T.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Manahawkin Baptist Church located at 400 Beach Avenue, Manahawkin, NJ 08050 at 11 o'clock a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Lighthouse Christian Academy in Manahawkin, NJ would be greatly appreciated.
