While teaching at NCSD (school for the deaf) in Morganton, Alice was there each day, to make sure that our classroom was clean. Each day I would have the children tell her 'thank you', for everyone in the school played an important role in our lives. And, each day that Alice visited us, she always had a sweet smile, twinkling eyes, and a loving heart. She invited me into her home, talked about family, and was completely happy with her life. I am grateful that I got to know her, and know in my heart that she lives within each of us, Thank you, Alice..you are forever loved.

Remembering such a sweet humble lady who always had a smile upon her face and never spoke unkind words to anyone. We are all so blessed to have been in your circle for you were truly an angel among us. You always let your light shine. A light that will forever shine on Avery Road.
