What a great lady. Knew her from working with my mom at the Braille Center. Also knew her from Christ Lutheran Church, and the Rowing club. She had such a big heart and will be missed. Deepest condolences to the family.

Alice was such a dear dear friend. I feel very blessed to have had her in my life. I first got to know Alice when we moved to St. Catharines in 1996. The day we drove into 'Christ' Lutheran Church parking lot, she was there, introduced herself and welcomed us. That was the beginning of what was to become a close relationship that developed into a special friendship, especially when I joined the Niagara Area Lutheran Choir that she had already belonged to for many years. She loved singing, and to be part of that group that was and is like a family and after I became director in 1999, we always traveled together to all practices and concerts .We worked together at the 'Bake' Table at our church Bazaar for years too and I would pick her up to attend together other Bazaars as well. I visited with her in her home often and we talked on the phone regularly; conversations which often revolved around her family of which she was so proud and felt so blessed, because you all cared for her in such a loving way, and of course, her delight in her great grandchildren, which were such a source of joy. I admired her greatly; loved her deeply; will miss her tremendously. I feel blessed to have shared in her life and to have come to know all of you- her wonderful family. Together with Glenn, we send our deep sympathy, our thoughts, our love and our prayers to you all. Alice can now continue to sing praises to her Lord, in the heavenly choir!

My dear cousins. I am so sorry for your loss. She is very proud of all of you. She kept me up to speed with family news. I enjoyed talking with her. And I am happy I was able to celebrate her 80th birthday many years ago with you. She was very strong & caring with a big heart. Wishing you all my most heartfelt condolences. She will be alive in your memories forever & she is your special angel. Rest in peace Aunt Alice. A donation will be made to the St. Catherine's rowing club.
With love and fond memories,
Cheryl, George, James & Karen.

I remember when I was 5 and 6 years old, living on Queenston St. and Bob Martens was my best friend. I loved it when my mother would walk me across the street so I could play at Bob's house cause Mrs. Martens always had the best cookies that I had ever tasted. My deepest condolences Bob, to you and your family and may God give you peace at this time. Geoffrey R. Page
