Alice Margaret May, 88; SellersburgFuneral services for Alice Margaret May, 88, of Sellersburg, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 13, at Scott Funeral Home’s North Chapel, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. She died Monday, Feb. 9, 2009, at Sellersburg Health and Rehab. She was a native of New Albany, a homemaker and a member of Eastside Christian Church, Jeffersonville. Survivors include two sons, William R. “Bill” Snyder and wife Sharon, Jeffersonville and John D. Snyder and wife, Kathy, Georgetown; three brothers, Robert “Bob” D. Stone and wife, Doris, Jeffersonville, Norvin Stone and wife, Barbara, Borden and Sam W. Stone and wife, Daisy, Henryville; two sisters, Janice Phelps, Ohio and Bonnie Myers, Sellersburg; a daughter-in-law, Sharon Snyder, Moyock, N.C.; a daughter-in-law, Dolores Snyder, Sellersburg; five grandchildren, Jeff Snyder and wife, Becky, Borden, Jessie Anderson and husband Mark, Moyock, N.C., Cheryl Anderson and husband, Frank, Jeffersonville, Leigh Ann Murphy and husband, Mike, Charlestown and Amanda Snow and husband, Jerry, Carmel; and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Wilson Snyder and Carl May; two sons, Jerry Snyder, Kenneth Snyder; a granddaughter, April Wall; and two brothers, Howard Stone and Paul Stone.Visitation at the funeral home will be from 2 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 12.The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
