WALLINGFORD - Alice Michnak Moynihan, 92, of Pond Ridge, Wallingford, formerly of Wilton, died peacefully Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at Masonicare Health Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur Moynihan.

She was born in Yonkers, NY, April 27, 1922, a daughter of the late Andrew and Lucy Witka Michnak. She had been employed as a legal secretary at a New York City law firm. She enjoyed gardening, reading and solving word puzzles. She also enjoyed watching golf.

She is survived by her nephew, Daniel Nicholson and his wife Carolyn of Wallingford and their two children, Christopher and Mary, Peter Nicholson of Honolulu, Hawaii, Timothy Nicholson of South Windsor and his daughter, Briana, Jeanne Nicholson of Dover, Florida, and Barbara Gentile and her husband Robert and their children, Rachel and Robert.

Funeral services and interment will be private in Kesico Cemetery in Valhalla, NY. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be sent to Masonicare Home Health Care and Hospice, 33 North Plains Industrial Rd., Wallingford, CT 06492, or the Connecticut Affiliate of Susan G. Komen, 74 Batterson Park Rd., Farmington, CT 06032. Arrangements are under the direction of The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Wallingford. www.wallingfordfh.com
